Former U.S. President Bill Clinton sees prepaid cards as a global financial solution that can provide significant benefits to society. In a keynote address at 2010 Prepaid Expo USA, Clinton challenged the audience to reach out to the unbanked and the underbanked. Calling on the audience to find solutions that reduce the world's inequality, instability, and unsustainability, Clinton said, "If you think about what prepaid can do, you can help bridge the gap between the cash economy and the financial mainstream with a product that offers transparency, quality, and value."
